I haven't bought any Christmas cards yet! And they should be in the mail very soon if they are to get to their destinations in time. If I have time I might try making some on my computer --- do any of you make your own?

Oh no....thanks for the reminder...ugh. I completely forgot myself. I thought it was bad enough to not have done any Christmas shopping.... eek!!!!
I have made all kinds of cards on my computer, birthdays, any holiday etc. I suppose if you have a small list, it would be a great way to go, but if it's big...lol, might cost you more in ink. ;) And you can get some BEAUTIFUL cardstock for computers now, wow. My local Staples has tons of papers, from wedding invite stock to the really nice textured stuff.... Hmmm, now I want to make my own too!!!!

I have a color laser printer so ink is not a problem. We've had this printer for a year now and we're still on the demonstration toner. I do need to pick up toner since it will probably be out soon and I'd hate it if I were up at midnight trying to do Christmas cards and it ran out!

Last year we "sort of" made our own. They sell these cards with a slot in the front now where you can insert a photo, so we bought those and took a picture of Hubby, me, the cat and the dog -- we had Christmasy colors on and the dog was wearing a Santa Hat :)
This year I was lazy and ordered them online -- I even had them printed with "With warmest wishes, Jennifer and John" inside. Hubby mailed them all today -- since we ended up being home all weekend for Thanksgiving by ourselves, and I was really sick with a flare/UTI, I used some of the time to do the Christmas cards! :)

:) I like to make my own cards too, but this year there isn't enough time, I just bought a printmaster platinum program, but I am still learning how to use it, we also got a new printer it's a all in one, printer copier scanner etc, I have everything I need to make to make cards, but with the computer breaking down, and my health not being to good I have to resort to buying cards this year. Come to think of it, I better start soon, most of my cards have to go to Holland, and it takes about 10 days to get there, even longer during the festive season.

I don't usually like printing my own since it takes so much ink.
I use ofoto.com....it is now kodakgallery.
The only problem for me is they are based and shipped from California. I almost waited to late but have them ordered and used a snapshot of our son. And, like Jen, used our own phrase so when I get them all I have to do is stuff them in the envelope and address.
I usually have mine already sent this time of year. I feel so behind and still have plenty of time left in Dec.
Hope you get them out in time! :)
