After we had eatten our dinner and cleaned up the mess we drove in a blizzard about 20 miles to my aunts house, we were there about 2 hours and the rounds were tretcherous when we left hubby was able to drive 25 in a 55 mph zone, and thank god it was dark because we looked up to see blue flashing lights and head lights headed straight for us around a curve. It was a state trooper who really mis judged the road condition responding to a wreck, well he decided to wreck in front of us instead of getting to the initial wreck. he came around the curve on our side headed straight for us and then jeked back to his lane lost control and hit the guardrails, the lost it again turned a couple times on the icy road and slammed the guardrails backwards and stopped about 25 feet from the fron tof my van. I went in to bladder he** and the preceded to use very unholiday words at this police man as to why he was flying that fast on road condition bla bla blabla. Somewhere in my yapping hubby mamnaged to see that he was all right, his car was driveable and he had backup on the way. Thank goodness my horomonal mouth was of no priority to him righ then. Hubby gets back in the car and said thats to bad he didn't hit us, we could have gotten a he** of a settlement from the state for a trooper causing a wreck from driving to fast on road conditions. NO YOU MORON WE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ALIVE TO SIGN THAT BIG FAT CHECK. Only a man would think that way, not I am sure glad we are all ok and no one was hurt.

Oh my Gosh, I am so happy no one was hurt. What a scare. Scary when those out there to make drivers drive correctly are the ones not doing so....I hope he learned something from that experience. I hope your bladder is doing better. :grouphug:

I am so glad no one was hurt.. I swear these cops need to pay closer attention to what they are doing.. snow strom or not he should not have been driving fast enough to end up hitting the rails twice..... They give laws to follow they need to follow them too.

I grew up in the midwest and there was no way we would have taken off to go anywhere except right in town during a blizzard --- I remember a few times when we were caught on the road when it started snowing and blowing and it was scary --- on one occasion, I remember my dad rolling down a window and sticking his head out so he could see the line on the road. Thankfully, we were very close to home.

We get lots of rain where we live in Oregon. I get tired of the rain, but much prefer it to blizzards.

I'm so glad you are okay.
