Toilet Bowl Cleaners Please Help Me Before Using These

I notice the store has these round things with organic bleach that is supposed to clean the toilet for 2,000 flushes. No blue dye in it. Is this something that will hurt IC? I don't want to worsen the IC so I really need some help in deciding. It's placed in the back of the toilet bowl.

It shouldn't bother you so long as it doesn't directly touch your skin. You won't want to flush while sitting there, since some water does splash. We don't use it because we have a pet and if somebody left the cover up our dog might drink it and I don't think it's safe for pets.

I agree with Donna, shouldn't hurt as long as you don't flush while sitting there etc. I don't use them either since I had a cat --- yes, a cat --- who drank out of the toilet...

Thanks everyone. I am well out o the way before flushing. I put the lid on the toilet because we have like a carpet piece on it. Those of you with cats I quote from a book about cats, "But really, for refinement, subtlety, and that indescribable flourish, nothing can compare to toilet water."

LOL, Thanks songbird!! I had another cat who drank off his paw out of the water bowl...would dip foot, then lick it, and on and on.... :) Crazy kitty....

My black cat Leni likes to drink out the toilet bowl, too. He thinks he's a dog, I think. I think they go for it because it is cold. If I put ice cubes in his water bowl he seems to go there right away.

He also rolls in horse manure.

LOL, gotta love kitties!! I am so glad mine is no where near manure!! LMAO!! Yeah, I think my Freddie thought he was a dog too, lol. And finally for the paw-drinker I bought one of those "fountain" type electric water bowls - kept the water constantly circulating, and he LOVED it!! :)

I just bought a 2,000 flushes for my toilet last week. It doesn't bother my IC, but the bleach smell is pretty strong. Whenever I walk down the hall (past the bathroom) I can smell the bleach & I don't care for that too much.

Yeah, I hear you, I think I had that one too. I am not a big bleach-smell fan myself, and that can be a bit over-powering. I think I started getting the Clorox tabs instead.
