I am the distributor of Urelle which is sometimes used to treat IC and I have recently received quite a few calls about the Methylene Blue staining undergarments. Has anyone out there been successful removing stains caused by Methylene Blue? If so could you share your secret?

Thanks,

Joe

I'm sorry I don't have any sage advice about getting the blue out of clothing -- but you should see my toilet! It's the prettiest shade of blue, and extremely difficult to get off, even with bleach!

How about wearing a mini pad? Toilet is another problem, but I guess it will wear off eventually. Kathi

I know that vinegar removes pyridium stains from the toilet, but I don't know if it will work for urelle. A panty liner is the best way to keep from staining clothing.

I've never used urelle, but Shout gel removes pyridium stains if i don't let them sit too long.

For me...pantyliners were standard operating procedure!! LOL It was either that or buy all new orange undies....you could get blue ones!! :biglaugh:

I know that white Ridd dye works to get out the blue stains in toilets. Hope that helps.

i agree, avoid the stain by wearing a panty shield... if you don't wipe well you will get the stains... try wiping with baby wipes. If you leak tho it wouldn''t help any.

I use pyridium and for the toity, I use bleach and water, for the bottom of the toity seat, I soak a white wash cloth in bleach and water, then kinda roll it to where its still long then sit it on the rim, put seat on top then lid. I leave it for 5 min then check, etc. I dont have one of those foamy comfy seats, Lord knows we need/deserve one lol. Ya know I should just set that bathroom up w/a nice wall mounted tv and foot rest too! ;)
