I just learned this and hope it helps others. I struggle with chronic infection. Cipro is the only thing that works but it hurts my bladder BAD :headbang:
My doctor gave me samples of a new Cirpo Proquin XR. It has less additives and releases slowly instead of dumping into the urinary system. I do not have the bladder irritations with it! the only problem it's so new it's a little harder to get and with no insurance it comes with a big price tag.
I did learn that my compounding pharmacy can make me Cipro without dyes and preservatives in a slow release formula, for a fraction of the cost so for now I am going to try that.
If you have insurance and need Cirpo though this is a great alternative for ICer's
