Dr says probably IC now I have a UTI???

I have only had one UTI in my life. But I have been having IC symptoms since June. Do IC patients get more UTIS???? The dr says she is almost postive I have IC ( doing test as soon as infection clears up) since all of my cultures have been negative before Monday!!! I have different pain now and have been having it since Friday. Lower back hurts.

For me I have always been more prone to "UTI". But since IC mimicks UTI symptoms I wonder how many UTIs I have really had in my life.
And now when I do have a positive culture for infection ... :bonk: someone please knock me out till its over!

There are some IC patients that do get more UTI than is normal. Some of us like me were diagnosed with quite a few before our IC diganosis. Make sure you always get a culture done whenever tested. Infections are one of the worse causes of flares. Sounds to me like you are having a ruff time. :grouphug: I hope you feel better soon. :grouphug:
