I found some yellow tomatoes at local grocery store yesterday. :) I read my IC book, and saw yellow tomatoes are ok to eat. Does anyone have a good recipe for yellow tomatoes???

I used to use them the same as the red ones in recipes. I even made yellow ketchup one time, which my family didn't really want to eat because it looked strange.

I'm now allergic to all tomatoes --- I get a severe rash from them --- so I don't eat any at all.

I don't know what you can or can't eat... and some of these are probably no good but I Googled and found the following:

Yellow tomatoes are used just like red tomatoes.

REALLY!!! (Jumping for joy) We can eat YELLOW TOMATOES? Is that true everyone? I never ever heard that anywhere. My life would change for the better if this was true. Please let me know if everyone can tolerate yellow tomatoes or just the lucky ones!

I haven't had any trouble with yellow tomatoes except that they can be hard to get.
Salads without some tomato just aren't right. So I was very pleased when I didn't react to these.

My favorite are the tiny pear shaped yellow tomatoes! They are so sweet and mild, it's like eating candy! I grow them every year with great bladder results.

I make yellow tomato salsa and lasanga.

Salsa: Alittle cilantro, to taste yellow tomatoes, minced fresh Garlic, [instead of onions] pinch of salt and a few tablespoons of olive oil. The yellow tomatoes flavor it so well you do not even need vinegar.

lasanga: Use your food processor to chop tomatoes up and use your favorite lasanga recipe but use yellow tomatoes in place of red.

I have found a lot of ways around having to use red tomatoes. It is really not that bad. I made my first garden ever this year and I planted yellow tomatoes. I chopped them and froze them and I am still enjoying them this winter!!!

This past summer I planted yellow and orange cherry tomatoes and regular size yellow and orange tomatoes. Both were labelled low acid and they all were very sweet. I plant and then lose interest depending on my health, don't use any sprays or plant food. They grew like weeds, I couldn't pick them fast enough, must have had 50-100 little tomatoes in a bowl on the counter. The regular size were on the small side but just as sweet and stayed fresh on the counter until I ate them. My husband has to eat the red ones, he's very traditional, I guess. A great summer pasta recipe is to put about 3 cups of the tomatoes in a blender with garlic, 2 or 3 fresh basil leaves and olive oil, blend until smooth and pour uncooked on a pasta like angel hair. It's soo delicious and all you have to do is boil water for the pasta (angel hair cooks in like 3 minutes). That's all the time I can give to cooking at this stage of the game. Who says you have to boil the sauce all day?! It's really pretty too, unless your mind wanders and you start to think of it as caterpillar guts or something. Forget I said that.
