I thought I was a quicker study on things :bonk: but after 2 months of horrible burning and aching in the urethra a light bulb went on. I have been taking Proced EC for 3 months to help with spasms and stinging in the urethra. It worked for about a month, taking 3 pills per day. I continued taking them and would feel my worst for about 2 hours after urinating. It got to the point that I dreaded to pee. I was very busy over the weekend a forgot to take 2 of my pills on Saturday. That evening after I urinated it didn't feel so bad so I quit taking them at all. My burning, aching, almost drawn up feeling at the opening has all but gone away. I guess ProCed was really irritating rather than numbing. If the spasms come back I intend on asking for Hyocosimine to treat just that. It was included in the ProCed along with the analgesic properties it had. I have had the best two days in recent memory and feel so much better.
I currently take 150 mgs of Lyrica daily, and Detrol. I do not have the burning in the bladder, just occasional spasms and pressure. I also suffer from dyesthetic vulvodynia and Lyrica & Emla Numbing Cream is helping with that.
Anyway, sometimes what you think is supposed to be helping may be the very thing that is hurting. Hope this helps somebody else too.
