crazy lady song.. :hmm: oh oh I remember we all song it just before I got out..

They're comming to take me away ha ha
they're coming to take me away,
to the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time.
them nice young men in there clean white suits
are comming to take me away he he, ha ,ha ho ho..
they're coming to take me away...
to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time.......

( :biglaugh: ok don't get this one stuck in your head)

ok testing was ok, very uncomfortable, but I did make it thru... :woohoo:
my bladder held about 200ccs in pain, with the and I got to go NOW feeling..
I didn't leak.. which is a plus, but I do the week before and during my period,
which I am guessing most icers do. (if not don't tell me)
In the first 30 mins I was there I pee'd twice and they cathed out 70cc's before the test begun and before I was hooked up to all these (ok 2) lovely wires... Doc told me he had forgotten how small my bladder was, and with me retaining a 1/3 or better I need to double void (at least thats what I think he said) I'm thinking.. good god don't I already go enough :biglaugh: .... anywho.... he dosen't find it necessary to do the bladder sling at this time, but, it don't mean he may not want to in the future...

emilyrose197377
11-23-2005, 06:36 AM
yes it is my problem is I can't get the urine to come out and it causes major problems . even when I self cath it still stays in there not all of it comes out . That is why I keep on getting infections. My dr. thinks I broke my tailbone he gave me morphine for pain I was going to go today for the xrays but it is really nasty here .

tigger_gal

Hi Kelly,
I had to have a urodymanics test done before my hysterectomy (11/28/05) to make sure I wasn't leaking and find out if I needed a bladder sling.
I went in and they cathed me and empitied my bladder, after I had already voided 2 time in 30 min. They cathed out 70cc's so that is what I retain.
They had me sit on the table (like at the gyn office) and he filled my bladder and told me to tell him when I got the urge to void... next was when I really had to go and would look for a bathroom... then when I just had to go right now and couldn't hold it.. thatwas at 200cc's.. He had me cough and see if I was leaking, and he did a cystocopy. When I was done I had to void in there potty cair to measure the amount I went.
I wasn't leaking then which is good, but he knows that I did aroundthe time of my period, and hopefuly all that will end, seeing I have had te plumbing removed.

hope this was helpful to you. really didn't know what a uro dymanics test was till I had to have one. So you this will tell you what your bladder holds and ifit is leaking

Thanks for the thorough answer. It has cleared up some things for me. You said you had the "plumbing" removed. What exactly did you have removed? I hope you are feeling better and recuperating.Im having my Cysto/hydro (1st one) on Dec 14th the day after my classes are over. Rest Up,

Feel Good--Kelly

how long ago was this? Are you feeling better now that your pipes are gone? You are very brave! I am nervous about just having the cysto? I have mild IC. I live in Mass. It just started snowing here and its quite beautiful (the first snow... by next week I'll be sick of it). I am working on getting as much work done as I can before classes end. I've had to take a complete in one of my classes because of IC. Are you a mom? Work? I hope your IC doesn't disrupt your life too much. This experience has made me appreciate the small things and connect with people on a whole other level. I am wishing like my pain that your pain goes away.--Kelly

Kelly,
The cysto/hydro isn't terrible. I hope you have great results. I was born in MA and am moving to Newport, RI in July. Haven't lived in the NE ever since I was a baby so this should be fun!!I can drive in snow however, college in Nebraska.

Hugs,
