Ever since I have lived in my current home Steven Avery a convict has been living down the street.
Steven Avery(whose story made Nancy Grace because HE called in) the man in Police custody and will be charged with first degree intentional homicide. Theresa Halbach the victim has been missing since Halloween and police now believe that her life was taken from her on that day.

News...particularly Nancy Grace has seen this case as a possible set up (which is what Steven Avery is saying) because he was wrongly convicted of a rape and spent 18 years in prison and in 2003 got out from DNA evidence that showed that someone else was at the crime seine.

Their are eyewitnesses that saw him as the last person to speak to her. There is DNA evidence of his and her blood in her car that was in his families junk yard (down the street).

His DNA was found on a key that was found in his room of his home. T

This guy is scary...weather he is guilty or not and this crime is terrible...especially in my itsy bitsy town.

Manitowoc County convicted him last time...this time a near county has lead the investigation and used Manitowoc's county equipment. He saying it is still a set up.
I call him a convict not because of what he was cleared of but for the other things he has been convicted of...there was short list.

Well, on Sunday Morning my husband woke me up saying that there were lots of police with a road block and a helicopter driving around down the road. After a little drive there were many road blocks, many police, and we chatted with some neighbors all suspecting that the commotion was about the missing 26 year old women that became missing Oct 31. We were right. My unknown place in place in this world became the biggest talk of the area ever since. (Mommy has been worried about it all because this is sooooo close to my home) I guess since I never the home without other people I wasn't too scared since I never answer the door bell unless it is a kid...or I am expecting the person. My safe old town doesn't feel as safe...even though he is is custody.

The details of this crime...make it very likely that who ever did this is very disturbed.

I've been seeing this on the tele...I didn't realize that your family was actually living that close. I hope they burry him under the jail, well maybe just his male parts burried under the jail and the rest of him somewhere else!

Oh, these things are so scary! I'm sure all the commotion is no good for you or your family.

When I lived in LA a man at the apartment complex across the street from mine was shot when he took his trash out one Saturday a.m. It was very bizarre... but scary too... so I understand how weird this must be for you now :grouphug:

That is so scarey, Katrina! I'm glad he's in custody & glad you are safe! About 10 years ago, we had a tripple homicide in our small little town where I grew up. I always felt safe there where nothing like that ever happened, but not anymore. Not in this day & age.

I didn't really know him at all other than his name from the news when he was realised and the last name was known in my community because of the junk yard. I don't know when they first met but she often took pictures of vehicles they had there and sold them with the business she worked for. She had been there many times.

I can't believe how close this happened to my home...I can't even fully obsorb it yet.

Thanks for understanding and caring. This place helps me to remember that even if the guy down the road is probably a murderer...there are also many :angels: and beautiful, wonderful people in the world too. Don't want to miss the good people because of the bad. :grouphug:

How awful. I have had a family member murdered and it shakes you to the core. it reminds all of us, you can never be to careful. WE never really know anyone. In order to live in this world, I walk by Faith otherwise I'd be to scared to leave the house. I also carry a gun.
