Yesterday while walking past the mirror my eyes looked different to me...like the white had a blue tint to it. I don't necessarily think this related to IC or even an IC med...I just have no idea what to think.

I asked my husband if he thought the white of my eyes looked blue...he said ya a little I guess.

I mean...I don't know if this is related to dry eyes, it is related to my low blood count or what? Anyguesses??

I can't think of anything that might cause it.

I can't think of anything that would cause it either.....maybe a new med? I have no idea sweetie....we all sure do come up with the oddest symptoms don't we? Things that nobody has ever heard of or even thought of before. I know yellow eyes are a liver problem, but never heard of a blue tint?!

How are you feeling otherwise???

beats me, so far most of what I can find on this online talks about pets. There was something about dry eyes making things reflect differently.
I am not on any new med that was never on before... I knew about the yellow eye thing too...
Thanks for your help!

I know this happens sometimes in infancy--something to do with reflection. However I've never heard of it happening in an adult...
Have you had a thorough eye exam recently? If not, maybe this would be a good time to schedule an appt...? Atleast then you'll know if its just an enigma or if something is going on that needs to be corrected.

stay well

THANK YOU Well I am on an antibiotic....although I have been on it many a times long term and this week I did suspect UTI regardless at one point.
I think it has been over a year since my last eye appointment.

Yeah I was just going to write what Sandy said. I know a friend of mine had the whites turn yellow when cancer had spread to her liver but a blue tint I dont know. Perhaps meds?

Do you use Urelle or something else that makes your pee blue? Just wondering...

Hi katrina, I would check with your pharmacy to see if that could be a side effect from anything you Are taking. I would also reccomend you call your optometrist ask them and make an appt. I am sure everything will be fine. There are alot of things that an eye exam can pick up on. If you still don't have an answer let me know I have a few friends that are optometrists. Mary

I am not taking any meds that are new to me or cause blue urine. That is a good guess but doesn't fit me. I haven't noticed the tint since those few days so haven't really done anything about it (like see a doctor) since I have my pouch to worry about right now. If it isn't because of iron suppliments or mega blood loss, or meg fatigue and tiredness, than it will have to wait for a bit unless it gets worse. (which it hasn't yet) Thanks for everyones help. You guys are a big sourse of strength!
Charmed, if you do have any guesses I would love to hear them. Thanks for replying. So tired and in pain right now that a trip to the eye doc just isn't high on my list of prioritites unless it has to be. :grouphug:
