Do any of you have an inflamed cervix?

I have had this repeatedly and even get shooting pains in my cervix. My paps re always normal. My doctor said it is very inflamed and I asked why that would be. She couldn't give me any response except it is due to having 2 kids. I find this hard to believe as my kids are 9 and 13 and I only have had this off and on for 2 years. Other doc told me it was due to estrogen loss. I wanted to see how common this was with IC.

I had something like that also!!! In Jan or Feb of 04 I saw a new GYN he said my cervix was irratated! Actually he said it looked as if I had been dragged on cement. He was never able to tell me why.Although one minute he was telling me I was ovulating and the next a hysterectomy was my choice :headbang: I have never experienced it since that time (that i am aware of).I have wondered if that had any connection.

I had a hysterectomy 2.5 years ago and the path report showed chronic cervicitis. I didnt know I had this problem since I was asymptomatic; all my PAP tests came back clear. I never thought to ask my Dr why I had this problem since it was no longer an issue.
If youre not satisfied with your DR's explanation by all means get a 2nd opinion/explanation.
