Has Botox Helped? For How Long?

Hi All,
I am trying botox injections on the 17th of this month. Since I have to pay a good chunk of change for the treatment I am curious to know how many people found relief and how long it lasted for you? At this point I think I would pay a million dollars for any relief anyways so I figured its worth a try.

Hi Janelle!!

In the beginning, I use to have the injections every 4 months, the time before this last time, I lasted 8 months, and between this and the last one, I lasted 5 months

The time before last time, my Dr injected 200 units, but only 50 in the trigone, the rest in my pelvic floor and urethra, and wow!!!! was great!!!!!!! I use to have the hydro at the same time, so the pain after the surgery was because of the hydro

And last Monday (Nov, 14th) I had only 100 units, again 50 units in the trigone and the rest in pelvic floor and urethra. This time I was 2 days in the hospital (I use to have alot of pain after the hydro) and when my dr removed the cath, he instiled me lidocaine, bicarbonate and Heparine, and wow!!!! it was great too!!!

I hope you find the same relief that I found in Botox!!

My docotor and I were just talking about Botox. Botox is not approved in CA. I guess a doc. in L.A. is trying it as a trial since he has the teaching hospitol. My doc. said I could call him and see if he would consider it. He is the doc. that did my inter-stim implant. I would like it better if my doctor and him talked so I am going to see if he will.
