Do any of you have trouble with urgency and frequency on Clomid and or Birth Control

I dropped off a urine culture on Monday. They called today to say that it was negative. Since being on Clomid for the last year and now the birth control pill for a cyst caused by the Clomid, I have had bouts of urgency and frequency unrelated to infection. It does not happen every single month just when it feels like it. It seems that when my progesterone level is high that is when I get the urgency and fequency. It goes away when I get my period and the progesterone drops.

The most frustrating thing is that I don't have my bladder anymore and the only time I normally feel the urge is when I have an infection.

Anyone else on fertility meds and having trouble?

Sorry, I can't really help. I took Clomid for 2 cycles. Then femara for 1 cycle and got pregnant. Neither bothered my IC much. But my IC isn't usually impacted much by hormones. (Now prenatal vitamins KILL my bladder, but that's another story.) It does sound like you have a hormonal connection.

A slightly related tip, Clomid can dry up your cervical fluid. Consider trying Preseed lubricant (or eggwhites). I found preseed to be IC friendly. Good luck TTC.

when i used clomid, i flared. my dr gave me urelle for the days i had to take clomid. when i switched to femara, i didn't flare. i didn't ovulate either. :rolleyes:

oh, i'm back on birth control now (to suppress endometriosis), and so far, i've had bladder pain, but not a typical flare. :?
