Not sure where to post this, there is an IC diet section but this is more regular diet-diet....
But I'm really happy that I'm finally (after something like 5 years of being overweight, and at one point almost in the obese category) in the 130's again (I weighed about 130 when I married hubby.) I was 139 today.
That sounds really heavy still (and it is a bit too heavy for me) but I'm 5'5" and very very large-framed (measured my elbow to check frame size and I'm off-the-wall large-boned.) So I always look, my husband tells me, like I weigh about ten pounds less than I actually do, because of my frame and musculature.
This past weekend one of my friends even said I looked skinny (and it was out of the blue, I never told her I was trying to lose weight or anything.)
I'm not skinny (yet) but at least I'm in the normal BMI category now and I feel such a sense of accomplishment and relief! I've lost a total of 36 lbs. now since the Bion was implanted. I hope to have lost at least another 14 lbs. by the time the one year appointment comes up. It would be cool to say, I lost 50 lbs. in one year! I sure hope I can do it. It's been kind of hard, I don't really like going hungry.
Anyway I'm really happy to be back down in the 130's at least. Sheesh, probably half of you guys here would feel horribly depressed if you were in the 130's but for me it's a good change!
Blessings, Lori
P.S. My nurse is so awesome, when I come for the various appointments, she notices how I'm losing weight each time and this last time (when I was about 146) she told me not to lose too much weight or I'd be unhealthy, LOL!) I told her I'd need to lose at least another 40 lbs. before I'd be veering into the unhealthy area, LOL. But I'm so thrilled that she noticed! That was so nice of her to notice.
