Botox for urethrl symptoms?

Has anyone found relief of urethral symptoms with Botox injections please? I'm being considered for this & wonder about the after effects. Thankyou! :toilet:

I've had botox injections done twice. I'm not sure what urethral symptoms mean exactly. Can you give me more info?I want to help you in any way I can but I need more info.

That's very kind IcyAngel.. My symptoms are a continous feeling of pressure & urgency on the urethra, & painful spasms there if I don't urinate every few minutes. I'm urinating up to 80 times a day, & am on Elmiron, Detrol & Amitriptylene & the IC diet + Prelief & drinking only water with little relief.

I'm being considerd for Botox & wonder if the injections can just be put into the urethra. Thankyou for responding :) .

From your description I found relief. I had injections all over the bladder. Each dr has different mapping. I'm not sure if they put it in the urethra or not. If you do that you are more likely to have retention. Good Luck.
