OFFICIALLY REMOVING MY INTERSTIM>>>CARLYE

Well guys, I have spent many a sleepless night over this. The truth of the matter is it has been off for 2 months and when i try to turn it on to give it another chance, I have to turn it off because it is like touching a raw nerve. I guess I am just hypersensitive, but the bottom line is on or off, I still have the same symptoms, I just didn't get releif. I kept hoping I would. I am not removing it just because there is a painful " bump" which there is, I am removing it becasue it failed to work and it hurts me now. I am not here to put it down, hooray to all it did work for, but please don't criticize me because I am deciding to remove it. Also please don't minimze the painful lump, not all of us have a huge threshold for pain. We are here to embrace eachother not put down. Any words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. I am waiting until after I come back from vacation, so surgery will be April 16 th. Wish me luck. He is also going to do yet another cysto, trying to figure out why I get a uti every 3 weeks.

I personally think its your body and your entitled to do with it what you what. ONLY you would know whats right for you and if you feel its not right ,hey it probaly isn't. If you are not getting any kind of relief then why bother having it in you. Different things work for each of us. I support you in your decision. Carlye, I am there for you all the way honey. I did the same as you, I went back and forth, and I just came to the dicision that I had to get that thing out of my body. It was hurting me, and I couldnt turn it on, and my symtoms did not get any better when it was on. I guess we are just misfits, oh well. I feel so much better now that mine is out. I was a reck with it in, and now I feel like I am starting to get my life back. I hope that everything goes ok with the removal, and I will be praying for you. Have you had your rep check your implant? It might really be hitting a bad nerve or something. You never know, mine went haywire. We still dont know what was wrong with it. Just know that I am by your side completely, and I know how you feel about being put down. My doc and rep kept trying to talk me into having it replaced, and you finally just have to say, hey, this is my body, not yours, so if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it. We dont put down the people that it works for. I envy the people that it has worked for, and I wish that I were one of them, but I wasnt, and neither were you, but it was not our faults that it didnt work for us. Dont be second guessing yourself, you know your body, and you know it is not helping you. My doc know's now, that I was worse while I had it. He said that he can already see the difference in my health. Hope you get yours back too. Love Ya!!!!! Keep me posted!!!!!

Carlye~I think it's great that you have made this decision and are at peace. I know how stressful it's been for you and now maybe you can get on with your life.....I would imagine in a few months I will be doing the same thing. It's gotta be hard because you loose a little bit of hope but the emotional termoil just isn't worth it some times.

I am so sorry about your troubles with the implant. If its hurting you ,than by all means it must come out...Do you have a date scheduled or are you waiting till you get back from vacation?
