Halloween and trick or treaters.

Hi all.. every year I have always passed out candy without fail. Over the last 2 years, all I really get are the teenagers and adults.. yep I am not kidding adults trick or treating.. I am having a hard time debating on passing out candy or not this year.. last year I passed out dum dums, and got many rude comments.. Which was diffently outta line.. I'm thinking only do it for an hour and get the little kids and just shut off the lights and shut my door, but last year, with the door shut and the lights off, at 8 pm, I still got the "older" crowd banging on my door. I told them my light was out so that means I ran out of candy, and was asked for money :hmm: ...
I think I might skip halloween this year.. has anyone else had this problem.

yes i have-i have had teenagers dressed in regular clothes come to my door for candy a few years ago.i skipped halloween last year.not sure this year if i will hand out candy or not. there aren't too many children where i live anyway.

My porchlight is usually off but I still have a few who comes up to the door, I usually just keep most of the lights off in the house off. The few times that I actually answer the door, they are teenagers and they are dressed in their street clothes, I even asked them one time, " aren't you a little old to go out trick or treating??" the looks I received!! I mean, these kids were my boys' age (16-17 yrs old).

There are some distinct advantages to living in the country and having a 400 foot dark driveway! In our little country community, we have a giant Halloween party at the fire station. Lots of adults help and the kids have a great time.

I dont mind the little kids in our own neighborhood. But when parents pull up from other areas in car-loads its a bit much. Why do they think their kids need bags full of candy?

yep Bianchi thats what we get, they pull up in vans and 10 or better all climb out, and you know there not children.
