There are herbal remedies to treat the symptoms. Beyond that antispasmodic herbs may help.

Topically Lavender helps.

Flax seed Oil (soothing to any inflammation and a rebuilder) Best if taken with food…can be good for constipation

o Marshmallow root (althaea officinalis) helps sooth irritation and inflammation, can help spasms

Herbs (please be as careful with herbs as you would a med.) start with a very small amount….we never know how we may react to something….never give up searching for a way to feel better.

Ofcourse there are others depending on the symptom. Also adding fiber to your diet...but do so slowly!

Let me know how it goes. For my IBS my gastroenterolgist prescribed an antispasmodic to take before I eat...since I get all of the symptoms: gas, constipation, diarehia, pain I needed as much help as I could help.

The antispasmodic helps me along with other things...if you have pain be careful not to take too much antspasmodic herbs since the possibility of constipation being the cause may not be helped by an antspasmodic. Although usually relaxing those pelivic floor musscles somewhat can help. Good luck! Be careful!
