Last night, our cable and Internet went out... at first, I was mad. But then, I realized, hey, I'm sick of TV anyway.
And it turned out to be a great evening. Hubby and I actually ate dinner at the table with candles, instead of in the living room with the TV on. We talked and had nice music on in the background. :) Then we played cribbage for a while, and listened to the rain on the roof of the house. It was great because we got to talk, and there was no TV or Internet to distract either of us... it turned into a very romantic evening ;)
Anyway, the cable guy showed up this morning to fix it and found a branch had fallen on the line leading from the street to the house --- he had to install a whole new one, and now the cable & Internet are back on. I was secretly hoping it wouldn't get fixed until Monday :evilsmile: But, at least we had one great night focused totally on each other.... ;)
