I bought some Madagascar Vanilla Red tea today as a treat...it didn't have rose hips in it, it's caffeine free, and it looked good. I just had a cup of it, with a tiny bit of sugar to sweeten it, and so far so good...no extra bladder pain, in fact it seems soothing.
I think traceann said something about rooibos teas being ok, this is one of those......I've found a new passion I do believe. It almost makes up for the lack of coffee even though its caffeine free.

Well, I found it at Harris Teeter, which is our biggest chain grocery store here in Charlotte...but I also saw it at Food Lion, another NC chain I believe, and Bi-Lo. It's a celestial seasonings tea, so it should be nationwide.
It's wonderful, and so far no problems at all from the tea.

Thanks for the info on the tea..........gotta look for it. I'm still searching for something that I enjoy to have when I wake in the mornings. I really miss that cup of coffe but don't dare! I have a little decaf espresso mid-day....no prob .....but when I venture out and have a real espresso (with caffeine) I pay the price!
any other OK teas you might recommend???

If you like vanilla, you'll love this tea. I wish I had known about it sooner--I actually don't feel deprived of anything for a change!
I bought some tangerine spice tea, but it has rose hips in it and I didnt notice til I got it home, and drank a cup....even so, I didn't have any problems from it. I was afraid to try it again after noticing the rose hips....didn't want to push my luck.

K... I'm gonna go to Harris Teeter tomorrow and try to find it :) It sounds good.. and I like having a soothing cup of tea before bed. Especially since they are predicting rain for us up here all week -- and then the night temps are going to drop into the 40s by the weekend!!! Cool, rainy weather = great time for tea! Esp. if we get to light the woodstove for the first time this year :)

Hi Sandy,
I'm so glad that you found somethng that you enjoy drinking and can tolerate. I finally found it but haven't tried it yet! I was in FL last weekend and got it in Whole Foods along with Marshmellow Root and Slippery Elm. I bought both those as loose herbs. but....the ONES that I have been having and enjoying are by NUMI. I got the Bushmen's Brew - Honeybush and the Red Mellow Bush - Rooibos. I like the honey better and it cuauses no problem. I feel the Rooibos has a little tannic acid which irritates ever so slightly. The honey does absolutley NO harm!!!!
How are you doing lately?
:)
