Hi, I have terrible bladder spasms. I get UTI's a lot and am currently on antibiotics, I'm wondering if I have kidney stones (right below my ribs on my back hurt SO bad)? I have been in NONSTOP excruciating pain for a week (that's putting it lightly). I'm always in pain, my pain center gave me Duragesic Fentanyl patches 25 mcg and 10/325 percocets for break thru pain. The patches were a life saver I was actually pain free, it was amazing. Anyway, I've tried Uro blue, urimanx, proced, ditropan xl, and vesicar for my bladder spasms. I don't go to my uro til 10/18, but I'm going to try to go this week.
I hurt SO freakin bad. FINALY to my question- the nurse at my uro rxd some kind of sopositories for the spasms, that just sounds weird to I've nevr heard of that, I can't remember the name of them, something like bno, I have no Idea this pain med makes me REALLY spacey and I didn'tcatch the name. Has ANYONE EVER tried this, heard of this, ANY information is extremeley helpful!!!!
Thank ya'll so much for taking the time to read this
Oh, the other meds Im on are

Effexor 150mg 2x
neurontin 300 mg 3 x
elmiron 100 mg 3x
klonopin .5 mg 2x
hydroxyzine 50mg 4x
for now cipro 500mg 2x
percocet 10/325 every 4-6 hours as needed
Duragesic Fentanyl patches 25 mcg

Yes, I believe the suppositories are called B&O which have belladonna and opium. They are awesome, awesome for bladder spasms. They will make you drowsy, especially if you are using the Percocet and Duragesic at the same time. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Hugs,

I had a B&O suppository inserted after my cysto/hydro to prevent spasms due to the procedure, and it worked wonderfully! Good luck with them.

The others are right --- they are B & O suppositories. We used to call them "magic bullets" because of their shape and the fact that they work so quickly.

omigosh, you al are right, I haven't had a bladder spasm since I put one in yesterday. They are great! Does your body build up a tolerance to hem though? Im still hurting, at least it's not in combination with the spasms. Does any of your alls stomaches get REALLY swollen when you flare or have a UTI or when you're hurting real bad? I went from a sz 2-4 to a size 8 and that's about to kill my belly, I am so swollen, it's awful I look like I'm 3 mo pregnant. I'm going to see my uro tomorrow so hopefully that will be good.
I feel like crap all of the time, depressed, angry, hurting, I could seriously go on forever. This disease is complete hell and I hate it I'm tearing up just typing about it. PLEASE if anyone else is going thru the same stuff please please let me know I'm not alone. It's so overwhelming, Im 26, I have a wonderful husband (I feel he deserves someone healthy, he is sticking with me and super supportive), I have a 3 1/2 year old boy, a job, we own our home, bills are piling up, I am on intermitent FMLA that'a about to run out.
I'm miserable inside and feel this is only place where I can truly let it out. I want to give up, I'm tired of being so sick and I know Im not the only one.
SORY TO BE NEGATIVE FOR A MINUTE. If anyone else feels hopeless like me please let me know!!!

Thank you all for your responses everyone here is awesome and SO kind.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!! :grouphug:

Casi,
I have the IC belly during flares. I practically live in elastic waist shorts and my Tinkerbell and Thumper pajama pants. I would call your doc if you have continued pain and ask him what pain medicine/bladder spasms combos would be best for you. I'm glad the spasms are disappearing.

Casi,

I went through the same thing...I was a size 0-2 and I went up to a 5-6. I have been in remission since June. Please look for my remission story under "Im in remission" I started jogging again and I have gotten down to a size 4. Don't loose hope.

I too, have a wonderful husband and I don't know what I would of done without him these past 3 years. You are not being negative...these are normal feelings. Hang in there and stay focused and keep a positive attitude.

Keep us informed with what is going on...we do care. :kissing:
