and I have "control" over it ... I colored my hair to dark auburn red this morning.
Now I can use that "red-headed" temper to go with it! :biglaugh:

Whee... I've got natural auburn hair, but the sun turned it sort of brassy and blondish in weird places this summer, so I just dyed it using a deeper shade of auburn/mahogany last week, and it is looking great these days if I may say so myself ;) I've gotten lots of compliments, and it sure is fun being a redhead... enjoy it :) :lmao:

I used to color my hair all the time --- and I changed it many times. Now I take advantage of growing old --- and white goes with everything.....
:woohoo: :woohoo: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

I had a real chance to use my "red-head" temper on the way home from work tonight .. some jerk rear-ended me!!!! :cussing:
I was stopped at stop light and I could see he was rolling forward while talking to his passenger friend. So I move forward a little hoping he would stop .. I couldn't go any farther without hitting the car in front of me .. so he "rolled" into my bumper.
I called 911 and had police dispatched .. he kept trying to talk me into moving into a parking lot around the corner and that his wife is due to have a baby in the next 4 wks and he understands I am uspet ... I was shaking so bad even the cop kept asking me if I was okay. He and his friend kept saying there is no damage - let's just exchange info. I'm sorry - but I was not moving my car until the cop arrived - I didn't care how backed up traffic was getting. I wasn't taking the chance of this guy driving away.
I didn't see any major damage or dent to my car - but I have a little Ford Focus and he had big Lincoln Navigator and its 6:30pm at night - just dark enough to not see real well. We exchanged insurance info and the police will keep a number assigned should I need to file a paper report. I will call my insurance company Monday morning to see if I need estimate. I just want to make sure nothing internal or underneath was affected.
I was shaking so bad that now I am home every muscle in my mid back is tight .. but I think it is from being tense for impact and then just the adrenaline rush shakes afterwards. But of course, this is enough that my bladder is upset too.
I knew I dyed my hair red for a reason today!

Yeesh Tara! I was going to say good for you on the hair-color change, and then I see you got rear-ended!! You're right at least you got to use that new gorgeous color!!
I too just changed my "summer" color to a deeper/darker brown(I used Feria 'Espresso'), kinda like Sandra Bullock's when it's in it's darker mode, lol. This Friday is my appt that my MIL made for me at her ritzy hair salon, lol, she wants to treat me to a do, color, whatever I want and I get a manicure too! And then we're going shopping afterwards! So, gonna tell the stylist I want to keep this color, maybe add some highlights or something....
Haven't had my hair colored professionally in um, 3 years I think, was cheaper to do at home, since I didn't do anything real fancy with it, lol.
Shoot, I've been messing with my haircolor since I was old enough to try "Sun-In", it all snowballed from there! LOL ;)

I filed a claim with the insurance company and under HIS policy (we have same company but different agents). My claim rep called back to tell me what MY deductible was ... I told her this is NOT to go on my policy or record. This was totally his fault and I want my bumper repaired - I don't care how "minor" the scratch is.
They tried to call him for a couple of days and he finally got in touch with them today and accepted "full 100% liability" (darn right! It was totally 100% HIS fault!). I am taking my car to 2 places to get best estimate and repair.
This is much faster than my last accident 3 1/2 yrs ago ... took just over 2 yrs and a lawyer to get that claim settled and paid for.
I'm glad you weren't hurt, but what a pain in the bumper!

Got 2 estimates -- $300 and $365 --- but $200 or more of each is labor!
My mom suggested I contact the other driver to see if he wants to pay out of pocket rather than thru insurance claim and maybe his rates won't go up. I told her I might - but he would need to send me the check and pay for the rental car for 2-3 days. I would have to wait for check to clear - not getting stuck with a bad check!
Has anyone else done this - paying out of pocket vs going thru insurance?
I know the scratch is minor and he didn't mean to hit my bumper - but I would like to have to scratch removed so the paint doesn't start to flake off over time and then need a new paint job at my expense.
