My results say that my bladder is contracting at a rate of 60, (they said normal is 10-20) and yet only a very small, weak stream of urine comes out with even more straining.

The dr. did a cysto and announced immediately it is the sphinter that is the problem.

Then he said I can either do biofeedback, or get an InterStem put in.

Biofeedback isn't covered under my insurance and it's about $200/session.

I'm also to self-cath three times a day becasue obviously since I pee 30 times a day a trickle, by bladder never empties. I told him I have been cathing for over a yr. and can do it but it hurts so bad now, DUH the urethra is spasming! He said too bad, must be done.

What a nightmare. He also said I don't have IC since my capacity was 625cc. Which means with a big bladder like that I should only need to pee about 4-5 times a day.

I am sure I have PFD since I also have vulvodynia. He said he didn't know anything about that. And IC specialist that knows nothing of PFD and vv??

Somebody wake me up from this nightmare!!!!!!!! My health insurance doesn't pay for crap and my life insurance doesn't pay for self-inflicted death. Next on the list?

You have to find someone who knows about PFD. It is entirely possible that PFD can cause your symptoms. You can still have IC with a large bladder capacity. I don't know why your doctor said you can't.

I know about insurance not covering things...I have problems like that too. I a sorry for you. A good book for self-help for PFD is "Headache in the Pelvis". Maybe you can read that and get some ideas for self-help...
