I read one of the posts that laughingly said "You know you have IC when you have pee envy".
Well, I was passing the little girls restroom and heard a little more noise than usual. Of course, they were looking under stalls - from the inside of the stall - and the other girls were laughing hysterically. I usually ask them if when they invite friends over to their houses, do they play in their bathroom. Of course, not they say - so - don't play in this bathroom either.
The point of my story however, is that as I monitored their leaving the room, I was midway between in and out - I heard a kindergartener in the stall and it sounded like she peed longer than I do! Oh my was I envious.

I am so glad that you mentioned this. I was in the mall restroom one day and wanted to wait on the lady in the stall to come out so that I could tell her how lucky she is to be able to pee like that. I know it sounds insane to others, but we IC'ers understand!

i actually peed like a normal person a few weeks ago. and it was in a public restroom! and people were in there and could hear it!

of course, 3 minutes later, i was back in the stall again because i had to pee some more.

i have pee envy too.

Glad it's not just me. Sometimes I think people will hear me and wonder why I even went to the restroom in the first place!

When I was in highschool me and another girl (who wasn't diagnosed with anything, but was known for her small bladder) used to have "pee races"" we'd see who could be out of the stall withtheir hands washed the fastest. Everyone else thought we were nuts, but it was hilarious to us.

This one really applies to me, especially lately. It drives me nuts sometimes when someone pees a real long time and then says " Whew, I feel much better now" while I sit there dribbing and burning.

I do miss the days of not thinking about peeing and my bladder all of the time...the days when I thought about my bladder about the same amount of time I thought about my nose!
