Does IC get worse or better(m)

Yesterday I found out that I have mild IC. Well I have dealt with it for 8 years and now I have so many more days that are better then before. I think I read somewhere (maybe here) that IC usually does not get worse, it either stays the same or gets better?? Is that true???????

Only a very tiny percentage of IC patients get worse. My IC was diagnosed in 1975 and I am, if anything, better than I was then --- largely because I have found which treatment options work best for me. I also follow my IC diet and twenty years ago I quit smoking.
