So, my doctor finally put me on my meds for depression, i couldn't tell ya what it is... lol. I'm too lazy to go get the bottle. (it's not working, btw .. guess it's not supposed to when you're not depressed. lol)Anyway, since I started taking it, Its be hard for me to pee. Like, I still have all the urges, all the time... but i have to sit there for like 10 minutes before anything comes out at all and if i'm lucky once it starts coming out i do have to go a lot and by a lot I mean, normally, as normal as I get. lol. I don't now why It's doing this. And I have to push really hard to make it come out if that makes any sense. Anyone know what's going on or had this happen to them?

How long have you been on the antidepressant? My doc said it could take a bit of time to feel a difference. Anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months.
I would call my doc on the new problem too, it may be the new med or not, and they may want to try something different on you. But a call to the doc is definitely what I recommend!! ;)

Please do let us know which one it is. Medications can often have MANY side effects, and urinary retention is often one of them. Let us know what you're taking and maybe we can help you more.
You should definately tell the doctor that RX'd them for you!
Hugs, Sandy

Could it be Amitripyline? My uro gave me that, it's an anti-depressent, but it helps with pain as well
