Hi Diane,

I just started taking it also ( day2 ) no bad reactions at this time, but any good ones either. Please keep me updated on how it is working for you. How long did it take to stop the burning?

So glad you are feeling well,
Tracey :)

Well, I'm still not feeling GREAT, but it helps with burning. If I'm feeling especially bad, it doesn't help as much. It costs around $35/month (if you take 6/day as recommended for the first 4 months) but I think it is definitely worth it! xoxo, Dianne

Yes, I have had a good reaction to this pill also. They have a special where you buy 3 bottles get one free if you buy it through the company that makes it. I'm down to taking 4 pills a day. Helps so I don't feel so tired all the time and I only had two days this month of feeling really really awful. Like having the flu. Didn't have that feeling at all last month. I'm glad I gave it a try.

I am glad to hear it is working for the both of you. I had taken it for 3 days on the 3rd day i got very very sick, but this is hours after i had taken it. So i am not sure if it is the cystoprotek or just my stupid emotions. I did not take it today and so far i am not getting sick like last night, however usualy i just have bad abdominal pain, today no pain :) but real bad burning, like i never had b4. Probably my own stupidity..i ate eggo's for 2 days in a row, 1st day no problem i thought ( kewl i can eat these ) so i had em again yesterday and thats probably why i am burning so bad.
I may go back to trying the cystoprotek again, just don't want to spend the money if it's gonna make my tummy be upset. I tried putting them in the freezer, do you think they can make you that sick like 6 hours later?

I hope it keeps working for you ladies :)

I have been taking cystoprotek for about a month (2 a day) and it does seem to help with the burning but I have been having a headache every day. Could it be from this? Also I have no appetite since I started taking it.

what is this medication and what is it used for?
Should I ask my uro/gyn or primary about this if it will help me?

I have taken Cystoprotek two three times a day (6 total) along with 2 Cysta-Q. This combination is recommended by one of the uro's here in the Valley. I also asked the Algonot people and they agreed it was a good combo. I have taken this for three months and have noticed that my symptoms are better and better. I think this stuff is very helpful. I also take calcium citrate with D six a day for problems with irritated vulva and urethra. Both symptoms are totally gone and have been normal for about four weeks. I drank red wine, and have had no reaction at all to it. I am not too allergic however to foods.
I also take Enablex for pressure and frequency 7.5 mg daily but I am going to try another one at bedtime as I get up three times to pee. I also drink my largest volume of water between 4-6 PM as I work in the public and just cant be peeing constantly. I like the Enablex as it just targets the bladder and I dont have dry eyes or dry mouth. Best part though was it stopped the terrible pressure to pee. If I feel any urethra tingling like I might want to pee, if I ignore it for a few minutes it just goes away now.
At this time I seem to be balanced as I didnt want to take a lot of heavy drugs.

Has Cystoprotek helped anyone with frequency??

I think the Cystoprotek helps most by coating the bladder and giving it a shield, similar to maybe Elmiron? It helped a lot for me with burning and urethra stinging. I think maybe somewhat with the frequency, but the Enablex helped the most with feelings of pressure and urethra messages that I had to go.
I also tried aloe vera, but frankly it didnt help me much with anything.

You are not alone Luvshrn, I had to stop because the headaches were awful for me. It was definitely the Cystoprotek. I was so dissapointed as I hasd such high hopes for this formulation. I did a process of elimination thing and it was everytime I took it that I felt sick. I am not allergic to shellfish or eggs that I am aware of but I did leave a message for a rep to back to me from their company. I want to know which component is most likely the culprit (which component would not be good if you were in fact allergic to shellfish and eggs). That way I can maybe try something else similar but without the troublesome component.

Will cystoprek help with bladder pain? such as I feel my bladder all the time, even when taking Prosed EC (like Urosept or Uro blue). I take 1-2 Prosed Ec a day, and it doesn't seem to help.

Hello,
I just started taking the cysto...says to take one a day for two days(on my third day now) and need to take two for the next several days...says it takes 3 to 4 months, so im trying to stay positive..after having a really bad week. Have you or anyone else ever heard of the "tame the pain" implant, jerry lewis i think did it, it's supposed to help with nerve pain. Good luck and try to stay positive, that's what I'm trying to do, it's really hard sometimes...marrgot ;)
