Hi everyone, just thought I would drop a line & say hello to you all. I don't seem to get much time to be on here lately which I really miss, usually the only time I get is at night, & by that time my meds have kicked in & I carn't even read let alone type anything that makes any sence. Last night I came on here to catch up & after about 5 mins I actually fell asleep at the key board :bonk: I guess that was my key to go to bed. Usually I am awake until all hours still trying to get to sleep, but I tend not to post then as it is always incoherent anyway.
Not much has changed here IC still a pain in the bladder & in the a****.I hate the fact this crap will never go away & am so sick of it ruling my life, I would give anything to just be normal, & not have to think of my bladder every time I leave the front door.
We have a new weight loss centre that has come to Mildura called " Cohen's life style Clinic" ( Love the Name) so I decided that I am going to give it a go. It only consits of all natural foods so that shouldn't be a problem, although they can not accpect you for medical reasons so I hope I don't have a problem there. They take a blood sample to work out you specific diet & I am a bit worried they might think I am a walking drug store HA HA. Anyway I'll see how I go, they let me know next week if I am ok to start, I darn hope so I have got to get rid of this fat butt & soon.
So how are the rest of you doing? I think they just had another IC support meeting in Melbourne last week, did any of you Melbourne people get there??? How Campbell going Rosalie? Last I read he seem to be going well, that's great news, hopfully it's all upward from here, but if there are a few hick up's I'm sure with his wonderful support team he will get though it.
I have still been thinking about Sara & hope she doing well, I wonder how far along she is now? I haven't spoken to her for ages so if you are talking to her Nadia let her know I am thinking of her. Actually I just notice I had a private message from you Nadia & forgive me I a carn't remember if had gotten back to you since then :bonk: ( it the drugs I swear I don't remember jack the next day) Anyway hope you doing ok.
How's things Kirstin? I here you have a new fluffy house mate for company. I bet your enjoy your new quiet neighbourhood. Are you on holidays now?
Goerge, I just seen your post on trying to work out the time differences for the US & here, it would be great to be able to get in & have a chat with everybody from over there, I wonder when the next one is, although Cathy usually post on the boards to say when they are & thanks to Kirstin link we may be able to work out the time differences now.
Ok I think I have rambled enough for now & I can feel the head starting to spin so it must be time to stop typing.
Take care everyone & talk soon.
Andrea :)

Hello Andrea
Nice to hear from you. The clinic sounds like a great idea. As you know I'm in the same boat as you (only more so!). I've also got the menopause thing going on and the weight is just ballooning out of control. I hope it goes well for you. I need some inspiration.
Campbell is doing very well at the moment. He went back to uni this semester. While it sounds like a fairly normal thing to do, I was very excited when he actually handed in two assignments and on time to boot! Still waiting on one mark but he got a B on the other. Fingers crossed for the rest of the year.
We've just done the subject selection thing for Hilary's year 12 next year. Arghhh!
You have around 13 or 14 years to get ready for it with Cohen..start now!!!

I didn't make it to the support group meeting last week. Truth is, I forgot. It was written on the calendar but I forgot to look..go straight to the bottom of the class Rosalie. Next time perhaps?
My Urethitis has been playing up on and off for a while so Uro has upped the dose from 10mg to 25mg. It's just started to kick in.
I only just realized recently that Sara is expecting. Very exciting news.

How's the weather in Mildura? It has turned cold here today. The wind is bitter, back to winter after a few lovely spring days.
Hope to hear from you again soon.

:hi: Andrea, Rosalie,

I was only thinking of you yesterday Andrea. Cool name for the weight loss centre. Must be a good omen. I hope they accept you.

Rosalie that is so funny falling asleep at the keyboard. :biglaugh: Last night I made a cup of cammomile tea and put the teabag and honey into DH's glass of coke. Silly me, not sure what I was thinking, must have been the Endep kicking in.

Oooops sorry Sara I forgot to ring you tonight, will do it in the morning. Sorry.
Silly IC brain. Feeling very tired today. Not quite with it.

I have spoken to Sara as I do almost every day. She is a lifesaver in so many ways. :kissing:

I know Sara has been a very worried about her daughter and the suspected UTI she had. I am sure when that clears up she will pop in here.

Her lovely round belly is growing and she looks radiant. She has that pregnancy glow.

Rosalie thats great news on your son. I take it the meds are working for him ?

Hope to hear from you all soon.

Take care

Nadia

Thanks Nadia. Yes Campbell changed meds about 2-3- months ago and so far this one seems to be doing the trick.
It must be wonderful for you and Sara to be in such close contact. I get all mushy when it comes to babies and hope I'm around long enough to enjoy being a grannie. With kids at only 20 and 16, I expect it won't happen for a long time.

Hi Rosalie, It is great having Sara living close by. I truly would be lost without her.

How are all of you doing lately ?

Hi guys :)

Wow, it's so nice that so many people wonder how I am!! It's lovely that you are thinking about me, thank-you :) And thank-you nadia for asaying I look "radiant!!" :woohoo: Always wanted that pregnancy glow. I am feeling pretty good now pregnancy wise. Bladder is still crap but I expected that. Some days it doesn't make it easier though. IC sucks. i'm just enjoying this nice middle bit, (6 months now :woohoo: ) where you feel good before it all goes bad in the last few months!! Not looking forward to it being so hot either. But except for the bladder and some yukky pelvic pains and lower back pains I am not too bad, touch wood!!!!!

Good to hear from you Andrea. I hope this clinic works out for you. I know how much IC can get you down and you've had it longer than anyone, you poor thing. How is Cohen?? Does he go to school next year or the year after?? Hope all is well with your family.

I have so little time to write on these boards now and it's only going to get worse!! It's so nice to know that you guys are all here though. Rosalie, I'm glad to hear things are looking up with your son. What a worrying and stressful time. I am going through a worrying patch with Claudia at the moment with her bladder. There is absolutley nothing worse as a parent that when you think there is something wrong with your child. We can take it (just) when it is us but when something happens to our babies it is just too much.

Anyway, hugs to everyone and I hope you all stay well (as can be!!!!)

Great to here from everybody, as Sara said we don't all get alot of time to be on the boards but when we need someone we can be sure that someone will be here to lean on, & that's such a great feeling having others who understands this crazy thing called IC. It's good to have other to share things with wether its IC related or not.
Im so glad your feeling too bad Sara & hope the comming weather is not too hot for you. Is Claudia OK? you said something about here bladder, I hope to god she dosen't have IC.
Rosalie the weather here has been very up & down, Warm one day & frezzing the next :loco: Had plenty of rain though which is great we really needed it in this area.
Ok thats all for now, catch up with you all soon.
Take Care
