How long do I have to wait?

Hi all,

I have been put on tolterodine 4mg which i believe is a similar drug to oxybutin I have been taking the drug for a week now with no improvement in my frequency in fact I think I may be feeling a little worse. I pee then about 5 min later need to go again I can hold off for about 2 hrs some times but it's just the constant urge to go! its driving me insane! I was wondering whether I should carry on with the treatment because apparently it does not always work immediatly can anyone shed any light on this???

I am not familiar with that one, I take oxybutinin, but hopefully someone will have some info for you. But, I would call my doc and ask how long to give it a chance for, and tell them what's going on for you. ;)

I agree that a phone call to your doctor would be a good idea.

I think that is Detrol LA, which I just started today. I'm not sure how long it takes to kick in, but with the symptoms you have you definately should call the doctor.

I did a google on tolterodine and the brand name is detrol. I always google any drug I am given and read several of the sites that way I usually get information from people using the drug and not just the drug companies that are pushing it.
