Unfortunately, I do believe it! Those "Gate Keepers" can be awful tough to get by sometimes! Man, they sure must be storing up some bad karma!

I hope with the Cipro you'll soon be feeling better, and glad to hear you're resting & letting it work!

I'm so sorry that you had to deal with an incompetent nurse!! There is NO excuse for this kind of behaviour. Nurses are taught to take care of the patient's needs, and to be the go between with the doctor and the patient...sounds like she needs a new job!

Talk to the office manager in the doc's office, tell her the problems you've had with this nurse. She will be reprimanded, and hopefully she will learn a lesson, and treat patients with the respect they deserve!

Love ya girl, and you get BETTER SOON, ok? Sandy

One time I had a toothache which I knew was going to need a root canal. I went to my dentist who referred me to a specialist. The specialist drilled the tooth out and gave me some antibiotics and pain meds and sent me home until infection cleared. I was getting ready to go on a cruise and wouldn't be able to have it finished until afterwards. My tooth still wasn't getting better a few days later as I knew it should (this was about my 6th root canal) so I called in to get more pain meds and told the front desk that I think the tooth next to it was bad too. She told me that it would take awhile for the pain to subside and gave me more pain meds. I called a few days later same thing only now she tells me I shouldn't be needing any more meds. I was holding cold water in my mouth all of the time to keep the pain down which was great fun as at the time I was a 911 dispatcher and I had to talk all of the time. Finally about a week before my trip on a Friday night I called my dentist at home because I hadn't slept in 3 days and couldn't take it anymore. The next morning I was in his office and within minutes he had the specialist on the phone and told him to meet us at his office across town immediatly. When he got there and met us he drilled out the tooth next to the first one and immediatly the pain was almost completely gone. My dentist said he had heard complaints about the specialists receptionist before. I knew the second one was bad within days of the first one being drilled but I couldn't get past the B***** at the front desk.

Some people abuse what little power they have and she was one of them. The specialist was a really great guy and he felt bad that I was in pain the only complaint I had about him was keeping her employed.
