Velocity by Dean Koontz? My books just came in today from my book club, and I ordered that, as well as The Nosy Neighbor by Fern Michaels (I read another book of her's, Pretty Woman--excellent book!!) and Heartbreak Hotel by Jill Marie Landis.
Velocity looks soooo good, I can't wait to start it. This bartender gets off work and finds a note for him saying that if he doesn't take this note to the police a young, blonde school teacher will be murdered. If he does take the note to the police, an elderly woman involved in numerous charities will be killed. So he has to choose between the two. He shows it to a cop friend and the cop says it's a hoax. The next day, on the news, they say a blonde, young school teacher was brutally murdered. Then another note comes for him where he has to pick between two more people.
I love Dean Koontz novels! The Fern Michaels book looks good too, as does the Heartbreak Hotel book. And if you get a chance, definitely give Pretty Woman a look over--I've re-read that book three times already!! (I was in desperate need of new books, I was getting sick of all my old ones...and you can only get so involved in "What To Expect When You're Expecting" :biglaugh: )
Hugs,
Jess
