Hello. I am really glad to have found this sight. I'm in college and have been feeling a little alone lately. Most of my "old" friends don't call me anymore to hang out cuz I don't drink with them. I guess they weren't really friends afterall. Anyways, I'm stoked to be able to finally know that I'm really not alone. I hope you all have a beautiful week with much peace and love!!!

Hello. Welcome. I know it's really hard having IC so young. I was diagnosed 9 years ago when I was 20 and my friends really didn't seem to understand why I wasn't drinking when we would go out. It's amazing how important it seems to be to peers that you have to be drinking also. I got through it though and so will you. I think I a a better person now for some of the stuff I have went through. Hang in there and feel free to send me a private message or IM me if you need to talk anniepie1976@aol.com.

I'm glad you found this site. Have you explored the site yet? There's a lot of good information here. The Patient Handbook at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook will help you answer many of your questions.

And there are many young people out there who don't drink. Hopefully you'll meet some of them soon.

Warm hugs,
Donna
