I had a great weekend! To start of, for those of you who read my post about the last sweet guy, he is still sweet as ever, but calling me a bit too often which bothers me a bit. I just have a bad feeling about it, so I'm gonna have a talk with him next time we speak.
So anyway, back to the good weekend! I met this guy who turns out to be the brother of a guy I graduated with. Our families used to be very close, but I never got to know him too well as he is a few years older than me. We talked for several hours on the phone and eventually decided to meet. Since my mom wanted to make sure he was ok, etc, we decided that he would come pick me up. When he got here, my mom was getting ready and couldn't come to the door, so I left without them meeting. We walked out to his car and he OPENED THE DOOR FOR ME! Do you know how many guys from my generation still open the car door for a girl? I'll give you a hint: the last time a guy did that without being instructed by my mother to do so was HIGH SCHOOL. So anyway, I'm rambling. We went out to eat but ended up sitting in the parking lot and talking for 2 and a half hours. We went to see if anything was on at the movies, but nothing sounded good so we went to my house and watched St. Elmo's Fire instead. So we got to talking again and didn't put the movie in until after midnight. When my mom got home, he had actual conversation with her and used very nice manners. We watched the movie and ended up talking until 6 AM. He invited me out with he and his friends tonight, but I was feeling sick so I couldn't make it. I think we're going to be great friends if not more. Yay for southern gentlemen who actually act like it!!! :woohoo:
