Just wondering if anyone has tried Estroven for their hot flashes & night sweats? I was taking Black Cohosh for about 4 months and it was working great and then all of the sudden my hot flashes and night sweats came back with a vengence. If I don't wake up having to go potty I'm waking up because of these nasty hot flashes and night sweats. I asked my doctor today about what else I could try since HRT is an absolute no-no for me because of 2 previous DVT's (blood clots) in my legs and he mentioned trying Estroven. So I was checking to see if anyone else has ever used this and if they had any luck with it.

I would really like to hear the answer to this too as my uro recently told me to try it. I looked up the ingredients though and I think it has soy in it. Isn't that a big IC "no-no".

I'll give you an update of my experience so far. My doctors office gave me a 10 day sample of the Estroven. So as of now I have taken it for 10 days. My hot flashes and night sweats really do seem to be lessening. They are not totally gone but I am having fewer of them and the intensity and how long they last is improving quite a bit. It's only been 10 days so I really didn't expect to see much improvement in such a short time, but I have been surprised. In fact, enough improvement that I am going to go and buy the Estroven and continue taking it. The Estroven I took where the regular strength caplets that you take 1 a day. They make an extra strength version also but with that you take two a day and the extra stregnth does contain cranberry juice. Estroven does contain soy if that is a concern for anyone. I've been hurting so bad lately, I couldn't honestly tell you if it has affected my IC or not but I don't think my IC is any worse than it was 10 days ago. This web site http://www.estroven.com/estrvingrednprod.html
will tell you the ingredients in it for those who want to check it out because I know that is a big concern for all of us.
