The past few days I have felt very bloated. My urine stinks, and it is cloudy.... Do I ned to call the doctor? I try to avoid visits unless necessary considering it coist $30.00 everytime I go. Anyone else ever experience a stinky urine smell??? Its not just a strong scent of urine, it just stinks like garbage.... I know gross.. but what can u do?

Sounds like you might have a UTI? When my urine gets cloudy like that, I end up with one. :( You could always buy one of those home UTI testers?

That's exactly what I get when I come down with a bad UTI. It smells distinctly different. I know exactly what your talking about. It is probably an infection like Jess suggested. I've used the home test kits and I look for elevated nitrites and or lucycites. I always have elevated protein and blood so that's not an indicator for infection in my case. You may be different but I understand most I.C.ers have microscopic blood all the time. Let us know what you find out.
I hope you feel better soon! grouphug

I have to agree that it sounds like you might have a UTI --- you might try a home test kit, but it sounds like you need attention.
Sending healing thoughts,

Well I got my positive diagnosis for a UTI. They are calling in a script for Bactrim. Dropped off urine on Friday, just got results this morning and how much worse in that amount of days is ridiculous. Whatever! Ill take my meds and hope it goes away. What choice do I have really! Thanks Everyone for posting your input. I appreciate it.!

Are you taking an antispasmodic such as Pyridium or urell? They really help the burning that UTI's bring. I don't leave home without one just in case I feel a UTI coming on.
Thanks for keeping us posted!
