I just got diagnosed with IC. Can anyone give me good information on the diet? I keep reading conflicting information.

Hi there and :welcome:

You can check our Patient Handbook at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook ... just scroll down until you see the section on IC and Diet. This is probably the most universally accepted version of the IC Diet.

It'll be tough to modify your diet at first, but most say it is well worth the effort :) Good luck, and if you've got more questions, please feel free to post!

Jen has given you reference to an amazing website. Check it, wealth of information.

Years later I still pull out my printed "yes, may, no" list out to refer to when shopping. Yep, I fall off the wagon but when I feel the pain increase doesn't take long to get back on it again.

the information in the handbook is great. I saw several conflicting things early on too and got confused. We are all different in what we can tolerate and cant. I found keeping a journal of what I ate and how my symptoms were helped me see what I could and couldn't have..
Good luck,
Kelly

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I am sure that I will have questions down the road.
