Well, hubby and I are FINALLY able to move forward with trying to conceive!! I've been trying to wean myself off Atarax for about 7 months because I didn't want to move forward with baby plans until I was off it. What finally helped me was taking 10 mg of Zyrtec daily and then VERY slowly lowering the amount of Atarax I took. Initially I tried going off Atarax cold turkey and the pain hit within 3 days. It was horrible, unbearable pain. But lowering the dosage very, very slowly worked. So, hopefully I'll be posting pregnancy news in the near future! Just wanted to share my joy with everyone! I am so thankful to the Lord and I feel so blessed.

KeeKee,
Good luck!!! BBT charting and getting in tune to my body's natural messages of impending ovulation helped me to realize when I was most fertile each month. Actually, my pregnancy was not totally planned...I was supposed to have surgery--but ended up pregnant!

Jess

I am so glad you were finally able to wean yourself off of the Atarax! It was very wise of you to wait to try to concieve. I don't think I would have had the patience!
Hopefully you won't have to be patient much longer, and we will be reading the happy news soon.
Good Luck!

Good luck and have fun TTC. I highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's really helpful to better understand your body & cycle, especially if you want to chart.
Pre-seed is a sperm friendly lubricant. I also found it to be very IC friendly.
I also found some pillows (from a company called liberator) that help with my pelvic pain and help to keep my hips propped up afterwards. They are pricey, but have helped alot!
Hopefully, you won't have any problems. But I've got quite a bit of experience now with TTC and tips/tricks. So don't hesitate to ask questions.

Good luck to you TTC! It's so exciting the unknown! When we were trying I got pregnant the first month I used those ovulation sticks they sell. I think there was something to that. It told us just when it when was time. My periods are irregular so there really was no relying on counting days. Hopefully we hear some good news from you soon! Ann

I completely agree with Melanie. I bought that book, but before I could use the tips I was pregnant. Try www.fertilityfriend.com there are message boards as well as temperature charting software and it's free. I charted for 4 months, and it helped me to realize that I was not ovulating on day 14 like the norm, but rather around day 19.
It is amazing the little clues that your body gives off to let you know you are ovulating. I recommend to anyone TTC to chart, it makes you so aware of troublesome areas and ovulation problems.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Jess

Our cycles are so different, I ovulate around day 9. It is helpful to know when you ovulate if you are ttc.
I always knew when I was ovulating because my sex drive shoots way up. A couple of days a month, my husband is just super hot. He's pretty cute most of the time, but when I am ovulating, he's hotter than Brad Pitt :)
Are you trying specifically for a boy or a girl? If you are, I have some pretty good tips concerning timing. Nothing kinky I promise.
Good luck and have fun!

I checked out the Fertility Friend website. It's really great and has a lot of info on it. I think I'll get the book recommended as well. We're getting ready to go on vacation, so that will give me some great reading material during the trip!
I'd like to have a girl, since I already have a wonderful boy. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I know it's not an exact science, and I'm just going to be over-joyed no matter what it is, but yes, I admit, it would be really nice to have some pink booties around the house!

what wonderful news. Can't wait to hear the words "I'm preganant" coming from you now. Hopefully it won't be long. I also did the bbt chart so I knew when I was ovulating. Sex was painful for me so I really wanted to narrow it down to the day.
