why does IC seem to eat away at our resiliance, endurance and energy?
I used to do cardio 45 minutes a day 6 days a week and free weights 4 days
a week for 30 minutes. Now I struggle at maintaining 20 minutes of walking a day.My energy seems to start up then crash back down.We had a bunch of teens over from church tonight and couldn't have
done it without my understanding friends, but right now my energy level is a 1 on scale of 1-10...why does IC do this to us????! :headbang:

I put it down to lack of sleep. I'm up to pee 4 or 5 times a night sometimes more. The next morning I just feel exhausted. I used to jog every day but can only manage a stroll around the park now. I can really relate to that exhausted feeling.

Pain, or just being uncomfortable, is one of the most fatiguing things I can think of. And if it's coupled with lack of sleep, or what I call "troubled" sleep, it compounds the fatigue problem.

Oh yes, I agree. Just the act of being in pain, is rough on the body. It puts the body through it's paces, that's for sure! I mean, your muscles tense up, it's emotionally and mentally draining. And, not to mention frustrating! ;)

IC is physically and mentally draining.

Is that why I seem to feel tired alot? I had heart surgery and am in rehab 3 times a week for 30 min. sometimes it seems all I can do to get thru it!

I think it's mostly because of pain and lack of sleep in general. I wonder how much of it actually results from inflammation? hmm...anyone know???
