HI Martha,
Lovely to see you here on the "resinstated" Aussie boards.
I've searched for low-acid coffee, but only on the net. I gave up after a little while, but perhaps a health food shop might be able to give you more info?
I switched to decaf about 6 months ago and I cannot believe the difference it has made. That, and reducing my intake of tomatoes and citrus fruits, has been the only dietary change I have made. I rarely have normal coffee anymore and I don't miss it.
Have a great day,

One thing you might consider is purchasing a toddy maker. They make a cold brewed coffee concentrate that is much reduced in acid. You can find one at http://icnshop.com/cgi-bin/ustorekeeper.pl

I'm sure it could be. It would be fairly expensive, but it's not something you would need to replace so if you can't find one in Australia, it could be well worth it.

They sell a toddy coffee maker on the IC shop for a pretty good price. I believe they ship internationally....not totally certain though.

If I wasn't such a broke college kid right now, I'd buy one for myself. Instead, I bought some of the Euromild low-acid coffee, which is very good. :)

:) hi i did check the price of the toddy, and it is $37.99, and approx $48.00 australian dollars, not bad at all, of course i have to pay for shipping, but i still think it would be worth it, i will keep looking for low acid coffee here in australia, and if i cannot get it at all, i would definately get the toddy, thanks martha

Hi Martha
I tried a few health food shops and they looked at me like I'd asked for eye of newt. However, I have also switched to decaf and have had no trouble with it. Moccona make a nice one. You can even get decaf in ground for coffee makers. I'm finding more and more cafes etc making decaf as well.

The place to look for a toddy maker in Australia would be at a place that specializes in coffee.
