anyone had this treatment?

I went to my urologist and he prscriped this treatment called agyril(sp) Apparently you go in for five consecutive days and get this medication put in your bladder though a cathader, that coats the baldder. I I liken it to rust proofing and undercoating.

I think you may mean argyrol. It's a silver nitrate solution --- not used very often any more. When I was first diagnosed thirty years ago, I had some instilled. It helped, but was extremely irritating for hours after a treatment.

So this is old technology and irriatating? great! So should I not do and try something else? WHat sorta irritating? New to this whole IC thing and dont know what do do or say with my doc. or work. I gottaa pee every ten min and my urethra hurts. Had a bladder distention already , that didnt help

If it is Silver Nitrate like Donna said please start reading and educating yourself on other options.

It all depends on what you feel is best for you. It did help me at the time, but is an old treatment.
