Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to spread that I have had some success with my recent IC development of Vulvadynia. I have many days of urethral stinging...it's so bad...it's felt like a urinary tract infection but my tests always come out negative. My pain uro has prescribed me with Elavil...started with 10 mg, then went to 25mg...and I only had the stinging 3x all summer!!! Now I'm back to work (i'm a school counselor) and am under stress....so the stinging has returned somewhat. We upped my dosage to 50mg at night. I have not noticed any weight gain all summer and have not had any problems waking up in the morning.
Just wanted to share... I was stinging everyday for months (it was unbearable!!!!!) and I found success with Elavil, so maybe you will too!
