Any one have these symptoms

Hi all I have pain in my belly button-I have had it off and on for about a year. Is this a symptom of IC. I want to ask the doctor but it seems so silly. I was told by my gyn it is probably from adhesions from other surgeries. But I am not sure if I agree. Or maybe I am :loco:

I would guess that pain in the belly button is probably not IC, but heck--who knows??? :hmm: It's ironic that you mention it because my belly button is bright red and starting to have a funky discharge out of it. I thought the pain and discharge were weird too.

In the early 90's when I first went from normal to barely able to make it 2hrs before having to urinate I also noticed when putting pressure and cleaning my bellybutton it caused a shooting pain to my bladder and the feeling I had to go immediately and it still does. It was another 4-5 years before my bladder starting hurting all of the time, so there could be some correlation. I went in for a test back then and was told I had a small bladder like yeah it just shrank all at once <G>. Those were my first symptoms.

When I'm going to have a flare up it starts from my belly button. Sometimes I can feel something like a drip going from my belly button to my bladder. It's a mild itchy burning sensation. It's my warning signal.

my symptoms started right after I had my bellybutton pierced. I often wondered if this could be the cause of my bladder pain, and my doctor once joked about it-but is it possible?
