This is the worst! Does anyone ever have bloating with severe pressure? The pressure is HEAVY and feels like something inside is pushing as hard as it can...like I am going to pop. :( Along with this is the back pain, urgency and sharp pains all at the same time.

I've had this before (comes and goes...on a smaller scale), but never 3 days straight with no break. My body is sore and tender. It hurts to wear clothes or touch me. I am at work, in pain, very uncomfortable and it is making me crazy.

I do not have an infection, I am strict about following the diet, I take Elmiron, Milk of Magnesia and drink tons of water.

My question is: Does anyone know of anything to help this go away. Appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you, Tilly :)

Tilly,
Sorry I have nothing to offer. I was just going to say if this pain is something different or more servere, you should talk to your Dr. and let him decide what you should do.

yes, I get that bloated/pressure feeling fairly often. Usually for me it lasts several hours, maybe a whole day, and then goes away until next time.

I actually have it right now. This morning I had frequency/urgency. Then, about an hour ago I had a big bladder spasm (at least that's what I think it was) where there was this horrible tightening, clenching feeling right where my bladder is--it was really intense and painful. I tried to pee and couldn't produce much. And now thankfully that subsided, but I am sitting here with that annoying bloated/pressure feeling that you described perfectly.

My bladder is mad that my uro cancelled it's appointment, I guess wink

I have no idea how to make it go away.

I hope yours goes away soon!! grouphug

Hmmmm, normally I would say it was probably something you ingested, but you said you watch your diet. I do know that the diet list is just a guide & that many of us have triggers that are not on the list. I would do a diary of what you eat , drink, meds, anything put into the mouth & see if you can track something down. Meanwhile I guess the heating pad/ice pack, water, etc that you normally do for a flare are your best bet.

It sounds like bladder spasms --- you might talk to your doctor about taking a smooth muscle antispasmodic, such as hyoscyamine or urispas.

Sending warm healing thoughts,

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to get rid of the bloat? I asked on the flare board but got very little replies and no one gave me an answer on how to do this.

Jess, I STILL haven't figured out how to get rid of my bloat. I think it's with me and plans to stay with me.

Thanks, Donna. I'd like to be able to fit into jeans on these days, but it just isn't happening. I was hoping there was some kind of trick. GRRRRRR. Thanks. frown

Jess,
The best thing I have found for bloating is to drink A LOT of water, which is easier said than done when us IC's are having to pee all of the time! I don't know if this helped at all, but that's all I know to do. Good luck!

Bloating.... cussing
pain, pressure...... banghead

Mine came and went for a few months. I gues angel s all the water 8-10 glasses a day, valium for muscle spasms and azo standard (same as peridium, makes pee reddish/orange)and heat and ice.

Good luck to you, just know it will all go away. We're all different therefore our timelines are different too cussing

Please keep us posted, you're not alone grouphug

I use the oxytrol patch and it helps me a lot with pressure, frequency, and urgency.

I struggle with this alot. I also take percocet sometimes and this really helps. I am usually able to function on the percocet (even at work) b/c I take a little dose (1/4 of a pill). Uro said that's o.k. to do.

I hope you find something that works for you soon. I can definitely empathize. It really drives me crazy sometimes.
