which instillation has worked best

I just got back from seeing my uro on Friday and he taught me how to do installations myself. He is starting me out with lidocaine and heprin 3 to 4 times a week and he said if that didn't work we would try DMSO treatments. Can anyone tell me which drug worked best for them?

I personally loved Heparin and Lidocaine. I am glad your doctor is having you try that first. Since it is a lot less painful (infact I found it soothing) to try than DMSO if it helps you the risk is less.

My understanding is that DMSO has helped more people but I was not one of them. Usually before it helps it causes an increase of symptoms. I did six week of symptoms trying to stay optimistic but still felt that my symptoms were worse not better....the only thing that happened was that the increase in my symptoms went down a bit.
