Hello: I just discovered this site today while researching the symptoms I've been experiencing for the past two weeks. About three weeks ago I had a Voiding Cystourethrogram which turned out well - no backflow dispite my duplicate ureter. Since the urologist and nurse at Radiology had a devil of a time inserting the foley catheter, the urologist gave me three days of Cipro which I took. Less than a week later, I started having UTI symptoms. Saw the OB/GYN who gave me a week of Bactrin. While on the antibiotics, the OB/GYN's office informed me that my culture was negative. I've had this happen to me in the past - UTI symptoms - burning, frequency, pressure which clear up on the antibiotics but the culture turns out to be negative. I saw my Uro a week ago and explained that I was having issues with frequency - I go and still feel the need to go. He gave me a RX for more Bactrin. Still within a few days, I have no burning, but lower pelvic pressure and a numb pain in the area of my urethra. I've been on the Bactrin for two days, but the pressure and pain don't seem to be subsiding. I couldn't sleep last night and am still waiting for the Uro's office to return my calls. Feeling stressed! I don't know what to do.
