This is just great :headbang: . Many of you know I had my Interstim revision surgery in May 2005. While I had hopes I did not have high expectations due to the problems before hand. Well I noticed that I thought the interstim had moved some from where it was to begin with. Then Saturday I started having itrermidate (sp is really bad on word) pain. On and off all day Sat and Sunday. Now today as I was getting into the bathtub my pulsating moved to my left leg muscles. The whole time I was in the tub I could feel the twitching in my upper and lower leg muscles and not in the vaginal area like usual.

I had declared a Interstim vacation awhile back because the unit was not working like the first one did in the beg so I guess now my vacation is over. Calling the doc tom. and setting up an appt to see him. Oh I turned it off... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

call the uro and let him know whats going on.. did the interstim its self move or just the pulsating? I would turn it down till you didn't feel it and see how it goes, or just shut it off.... hopefully it just needs reprogrammed.. However if you are still having problems with it, ask yourself if its more of a relief or a problem to you.. If you have to keep going in and out of revises then to me thats a problem.. and I wouldn't keep it.. a reviese every couple years with no problems in between wouldn't be so bad but, if its a contiueing problem I wouldn't think it was worth it at all.. You know I have had mine for 2 years. with no problems, but If I had to keep going in for movement of the devise. It would be comming out.... keep us posted..

Patricia,

As soon as my stimulator began moving I shut it off because of weird pulsatings. I hope your pocket isn't stretched out like mine from the weight loss, but I know you've been having problems since your weight loss. I couldn't stand to have my stimulator on because of the weird feeling it left me (pins and needles and what not). If you wanna chat PM me...and lots of prayers to you sweetie :grouphug: :kissing: Let me know what the uro says.

Hugs,
Jess

Thanks guys...Cindy I think that the Interstim itself had moved slightly from where it was orignially put. Up just a little bit. Then the pocket that the unit is in start hurting me. But the pulstating moved last night. I have never ever felt the pulsating in my left leg muscles ever. Even when the first one messed up after the wreck it never pulstated my legs. It scared me to say the least. I am totally disgusted right now. The thought of having another with problems is upsetting to me. You know I had "hopes" but not over high hopes that this time it would work for me, but who knows. I am going to call today, but today he is at the free hospital working clinics and wont be back in till tom. I will probly just make an appt tell them to have the medtronics girl there to just in case I have to have it reprogrammed. Thanks for the support, being that yours is working so well, I know seeing stories like mine is disappointing to say the least. But again thanks.

Jess I first thought of you when mine did that. Thanks for the support it is appreciated alot.

Jamie, Dyno and Kim thanks to you to it is an irrating time right now. Your words mean alot.

:kissing: :grouphug: to you all

Patricia,

Where has your InterStim moved to? Mine, currently, is sitting up on my waist. Like three inches above the pocket/incision. It used to be right under the incision, and now, it's right at my waist line (well what used to be a waist line!). Mine moves around freely. If I lay on my left side it goes near my hip and bulges out--if yours does that, I have found, and I don't know why, sleeping with a pillow propped up between your knees takes some of the pain/pressure off of the unit/pocket.

It's really alarming when you first notice it moving...it's like you're in total shock that this unit is sticking out of you in a place it shouldn't be. :(

I hope you get some answers soon.

Hugs,
Jess

Patricia,
Hi and I hope by now you have seen the doctor. I haven't been on of late so I did
not know about your new problem.
I would not worry about posting in here about problems with your intestim. This area was made for that. So you can get help and support.
I was disappointed when I read your news of what was going on. I know you wanted to take a break from all of this for awhile. I am sorry that did not happen.
Please let me know what your doctor said. I hope in the meantime till you get some answers and help, that you leave it turned off for now. I will wait to hear from you as to how things are. I am sorry this too has happened. I know you have had more than enough. Please know that we are here for you and we care.
Once again I am very sorry and hope your doing better by now.
You are in my prayers,
Dusty

Thanks Dusty, you are always there no matter what..Jess you to!!! :grouphug:

Anyway I go Monday at 2:00. So for the meantime I am just keeping it off. I know I have said before I did not think it was working like it should and since it has been off my freq and urgency have not increase so I guess that would mean my thinking was correct. His schedule is so wacky, he is in surgery like 1 1/2 days at the free hospital 1 day so I took what they gave me. If it were still doing it when it was off I would be in the office in a minute.

Jess mine has move up slightly not much, but when you have problems with them you notice even the littlest movement. I can move it around some and it hurts when I push on it.

We will see what he says when I go..Thanks for caring.

Ohh Patricia I know that feeling all too well! And it's really weird when you push and it moves. I hope it doesn't move much more. You'll be in my thoughts!! Keep us posted!
