Hunners??? Yes i've had mine removed many times, but there is treatments for the hunners that can help reduce them or even stop them. Burning or cutting them off isn't the only way they can be stopped. some dmso, cocktail treatments can help hunners and i'm not a 100% sure but i think there is more treatments then just that now to help them
but each time i do have mine remove it takes them longer and longer to come back which to me is a good Plus. I will Keep having them removed and removed until they finally give up lol.
in the mean time my rescue treatments also help slow them down.
Yes i found it very helpful to have them removed its quicker that way and many people after having them removed they don't come back, but sadly others are like me and those nasty bugger keep coming back, but Yes its wroth it to have them removed I have a mth or so of peace from those suckers. My hunners are weird they like to grow on the inside of the bladder wall instead of just the outside.
but each time my doctor removes them it takes them longer to come back.
sending you hugs and prayers

Yes I had Many Hunner Ulcer's. They hurt and Bleed very Badly. They Burned them off so many times and then they came Back. But the only way I got rid of them is when I had my urostomy Surgery done. My Prayers are with you.

I had mine cauterized, but they came right back. As long as they don't grow or multiply, I've just been leaving them there.

The main pathology in my bladder is caused by multiple, deep, hemorrhaging Hunner's Ulcers. I have had bladder fulgurations done numerous times. Unfortunately, it did not relieve the bleeding nor heal the ulcers. Ironically many of my ulcers have healed themselves only to return in another area of the bladder or at the same site where they had been previously.
I had a partial cystectomy done to rid the ulcers from the dome of my bladder. Ten days post-op they returned on the new dome, which had previously been the sides of my bladder and had been ulcer free.
Even though the ulcerations have extended through the mucosa to the third layer of bladder muscle, some have, on occassion, healed themselves without causing scarring or loss of bladder capacity.
Bladder fulguration does not help reduce the severe amount of bleeding I experience. The bleeding either recurs almost immediately or causes an increase in the bleeding I already have. My bladder tissue is just to inflammed to cauterize, and oozes and/or hemorrhages constantly.

My uro removes my ulcers every time I go under for a hydro/cysto, which is 3 times so far. It definitely helps me, until they start to come back, which is generally not for a few months
Were you told you have Hunners ulcers? I think only about 9% of ICers get them
