hi guys, i would like to know a question, how much does elmiron cost in america?? I found out that here in australia it cost about $1000.00 dollars for 6 months, because it is not subsidised, i worry about that, even though i have not been diagnosed yet, it scares me having to pay that much money, maybe they will have something that is cheaper, and maybe i am getting ahead of myself, and should just wait till i see my urologist and take it from there. martha
The manufacturer of Elmiron does have a patient assistance program - I don't know if it is available in Australia, but it sure is worth a look to see.
If you look at this page of the ICN's online Patient Handbook you will find more info.:

Where I am in the USA, my doctor's recommended dose (100mg/3Xday) is costing $234.00 a month, which ends up at a bit over $1400.00 for a 6 month supply.
Seems like every time I refill my perscription it's gone up again! A year ago I was paying $219.00 a month. I've heard some order from Canada and would love to know the reason why it is so much less expensive there!
