My latest hospital adventure for treatment was the best as far as getting well goes in a hospital. I get hospitalized somewhat on a regular basis and my latest two weeks ago. My husband was allowed to bring my Loang Coat Chihuahua to the hospital for a visit. As I had a private room, if anyone needs their pets and if you ask your hospital some will allow your pet a visit depending on the treatment and head nurse. It's always worth asking as I don't think they advertise sucha thing. Just some FYI PEACE and JOY

When I worked at the hospital, pets weren't allowed, but there were occasions when arrangements were made for long term patients, or terminal patients, so pets could be "sneaked" in --- I made the arrangements once for a cat to be brought in so a dying patient could see her one last time --- the supervisor nurse said this couldn't take place, but that she would be taking her break at a particular time and she said she "hoped nobody would try to sneak in then." My friend had a lovely visit with her kitty --- and the supervisor asked later how it went.....

When I called my hospital as I do all hospitals to find out what ammenities they have as far as services and such for patients the lady at admitting told me when I asked to see if I could go outside to get a visit from my animal. They are allowed in some hospitals as long as they are small animals and if your roomate agrees, which I had a private room so it was ok. No sneaking, I'd ask in advance if the hospital offers such but modern times some hospitals believe in wellness enough to know that Pets do help the patients. Hope that helps. PEACE and JOY
